Tuskegee University is Hiring a Security Officer Near Tuskegee, AL
Provides basic security and protection of persons on campus and on university property
- Observe and report unsafe or suspicious conditions on campus
- Assist higher level officers on response to incidents regarding campus safety and security
- Court or judicial appearances as required relating to campus matters
- Provides directions and assistance to campus constituents
- Provides security and safeguard to campus facilities
- Maintains communications contact with TUPD to provide response to service calls and assistance
- Completes required reports and forms
- Attends internal and external training and meetings as assigned
- Monitor alarm and surveillance systems; including response
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Must be able to pass a Firearms Safety Course (dept. may arm officers during emergency situations)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma from an accredited institution or GED
- Must be able to complete Psychological, physical and drug screening processes
- Must be able to work to work rotating shifts
- Must have a valid Alabama Drivers License
- Must possess a valid Alabama Pistol Permit
